Metroluwuraya.com, Luwu | In preparation for smooth traffic flow during the 2024 Christmas and New Year 2025 celebrations, and to support the implementation of the 2024 Lilin Operation, the Luwu Police Traffic Unit (Satlantas Polres Luwu) conducted a survey of roads and bridges on the Trans Sulawesi Road, Luwu Regency, on Tuesday morning (10/12/2024).
This activity aims to ensure the readiness of road infrastructure to support smooth traffic flow and the safety of road users during the celebration period.
This survey involved personnel from Satlantas Polres Luwu and other relevant parties, including Aipda Zaqrawi (Kaurmintu Satlantas Polres Luwu), Aiptu Arimin (Kanit Gakkum), Aipda Rudy Salam (Kanit Kamsel), Masri, S. (Functional Policy Analyst for Land Transportation, Dishub Luwu), Ir. Baso (Field Coordinator, BBPJN), and representatives from Jasa Raharja and Dishub Luwu.
Today’s survey focused on several bridges and sections of the Trans Sulawesi Road stretching from Larompong District to Suli District, Luwu Regency. The survey team found several road conditions that need attention. In Suli District, most of the roads are in good condition, although there are some points with potholes. In Larompong District, the Trans Sulawesi road is also in good condition, but in South Larompong District, several points were found with road surface degradation or undulation, requiring repairs.
In response to these findings, Satlantas Polres Luwu immediately coordinated with the Road Agency for repairs and maintenance. Additionally, reports will be submitted to the leadership for further evaluation. The survey is planned to continue to other points along the Trans Sulawesi Road in the coming days.
AKP Jumanto Agung, Head of the Luwu Police Traffic Unit, stated that this activity is very important to ensure smooth traffic flow and the safety of road users during Christmas and New Year celebrations, while also supporting the implementation of the 2024 Lilin Operation.
“We want to ensure that there are no obstacles that could endanger drivers, and coordination with related agencies such as the Road Agency is highly expected so that repairs can be carried out immediately,” said AKP Jumanto.
It is hoped that with thorough preparation, traffic safety and smooth flow during the Christmas and New Year celebrations, as well as the implementation of the 2024 Lilin Operation, can be better ensured.
